Ud is the most legendary ingredient in its perfumer.
It comes from the Aquilaria tree's own wood especially wood that is infected by a certain mold of the tree, which in response drives the tree to produce a dark, resinous oil. The process takes decades. The result is one of the rarest and most complex aromatic materials in the world.
Ud has been traded on the same roads connecting Istanbul to the Persian Gulf, the Indian peninsula, the ancient spice markets of Arabia for over a thousand years. It is not a modern material. It is a material with a history.

Smell
